Presentation of the Heat Initiative at the AEE SUISSE Congress

AEE SUISSE is a Swiss umbrella organisation of 32 industry associations in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency. This year's AEE Congress focused on the necessary energy transition in order to reduce climate change. The purpose of the exchange of expertise is to bring different parties together to discuss what progress has been made in this area and what new knowledge has been acquired.

After various presentations, there was a breakout session in the afternoon on the topic of "Heat Transition now! Decarbonisation of the Swiss Building Stock by 2050". In this session Martin Jakob presented the most important findings of the study "The Swiss Heating Initiative" and informed those present about the possibilities for a renewable and CO2-free heat supply in Switzerland. The study was carried out by TEP Energy together with ECOPLAN on behalf of AEE SUISSE to investigate which national, cantonal or even local underlying conditions are necessary to decarbonise the Swiss heating and cooling sector by 2050.
