Government Council of the Canton of Glarus approves energy planning

In 2021, the municipality of Glarus revised its energy law, prompting TEP Energy to develop a new energy plan in ongoing collaboration with the municipality of Glarus from 2022 to 2024. The municipality of Glarus' energy plan for municipal heat supply includes a cartographic representation and a detailed report with a catalogue of measures. The catalogue of measures defines 14 measures that should make energy supply emission-free by 2050.

The energy plan was reviewed by the Glarus Municipal Council and Cantonal Council, approved in February 2025, and can now be implemented step by step.
