Switzerland's energy future

The new Energy Perspectives are a key instrument for the Swiss Confederation's long-term energy and climate policy. In addition to TEP Energy, the consortium also includes Prognos, Meteotest, PSI, INFRAS, OST and GWS. Together, we form a strong team of technical, climate and economic experts who develop scientifically sound and practical foundations to shape Switzerland's energy future. The results of the Energy Perspectives 2060 are used by the federal government, cantons, municipalities, regulators, network operators, energy supply companies and environmental organisations to update their goals and strategies.

TEP Energy analyses the demand from residential and non-residential buildings using the building stock model and the potential of renewable heating and cooling using REAT. In addition, we are investigating the role of thermal storage systems in collaboration with the SPF (Institute for Solar Research) at OST.
